A lot of the new stuff coming out these days feels really generic even if they're new, original ideas - especially in manga. Crazy-ass motherfuckin' fans make me want to stay away from new series too, at least until all the hype dies down. I'm rediscovering older series (finished watching Cowboy Bebop recently; my bf picked up the manga Metro Survive some time ago too), but granted there have been a few gems in the past year or so - Moyashimon (I watched the anime last year and started picking up the manga just now), Black Lagoon (trying to get him to watch it with me; it'll be my second run-through XD), even Gurren Lagaan was pretty decent I suppose, but I didn't go "8D" over it as much as the others as it still falls under "generic" and "crazy-ass motherfuckin' fans". Still not as scarring as Kingdom Hearts, but that doesn't count at all for the subject of this discussion.

On another note, aaaaaaaaas I'm sure you can see, there's a big freaking list of folks waiting for an icon from me. This month is almost over and it seems the crazy amount of work shifts is almost done so I'll have more days off and not be so stressed. Once again, thanks everyone for waiting so long.
